Enable LDAP group and user search#

Once you have set up LDAP you can use the MKE 4k Dashboard to enable LDAP group and user search for the teams of an organization:

  1. In the left-side navigation panel, navigate to Access Control > Orgs and Teams and select an organization.

  2. Select the Teams tab.

  3. Click the + add team button in the upper right corner. The New team for screen displays.

  4. Enter a team name with a maximum of 63 characters.

  5. Optional. Select a namespace for the team. If no namespace is selected, the team scope is cluster-wide.

  6. Click the create team button in the lower right corner. The screen will return to the Teams tab.

  7. Select the new team from the list of teams.

  8. Click LDAP in the upper right corner. The LDAP for screen displays.

  9. Tick the Enable LDAP Group Search checkbox and select a group from the list of available groups.

  10. Tick the Enable LDAP User Search checkbox and and fill out both the search Base DN and filter.

  11. Optional. Click Preview Search to test the setup.

  12. Click the save configuration button in the lower right corner.
