Telemetry Available since MMT 1.0.1#

By default, MMT sends usage metrics to Mirantis whenever you run the extract, transform, and restore commands. To disable this functionality, include the --disable-analytics flag whenever you issue any of these commands.

MMT collects the following metrics to improve the product and facilitate its use:

Metric Description
BlobImageCount Number of images stored in the source MSR system.
BlobStorageSize Total size of all the images stored in the source MSR system.
EndTime Time at which the command stops running.
ErrorCount Number of errors that occurred during the given migration step.
MigrationStep Migration step for which metrics are being collected. For example, extract.
StartTime Time at which the command begins running.
Status Command status. In the case of command failure, MMT reports all associated error messages.
StorageMode Storage mode used for migration. Valid values: copy and inplace.
StorageType Storage type used in the MSR source and target systems Valid values: s3, azure, swift, gcs, filesystem, and nfs.
UserId Source MSR IP address or URL that is used to associate metrics from separate commands.
