Database Authentication

Database authentication is the simplest method, ideal for environments without external authentication services. The one limitation is you will not be able to use groups in the MSR environment.

Set up Database Authentication

1. Access the MSR Administration Interface:

   • Log in and navigate to Administration -> Configuration -> Authentication.

2. Set Authentication Mode to Database:

   • Select Database from the Auth Mode dropdown.

3. Manage User Accounts:

   • Add, update, or delete user accounts directly from the Users section of the MSR interface.

Authenticate users with database

• Users log in with their locally stored username and password.

• Admins manage user roles and permissions within MSR.
