Reference Architecture

The Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR) Reference Architecture is a work in progress. It serves two complementary purposes:

• Upstream deltas, wherein MCR behavior diverges from upstream Docker Engine, such as storage driver compatibility.

• Highlighting features, such as general runtime capabilities that are often of greater benefit in enterprise deployments, reflecting topics customers frequently raise. Many overlap upstream Engine. These topics describe capabilities, requirements, and operational value.
