Mirantis Container Cloud (MCC) becomes part of Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK)!

Now, the MOSK documentation set covers all product layers, including MOSK management (formerly Container Cloud). This means everything you need is in one place. Some legacy names may remain in the code and documentation and will be updated in future releases. The separate Container Cloud documentation site will be retired, so please update your bookmarks for continued easy access to the latest content.

User Guide

The MOSK User Guide is intended for cloud users who consume OpenStack services provided by Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK). It describes how to access and use these services through OpenStack APIs, command-line tools (CLI), and web-based user interfaces to deploy and manage cloud workloads.

This guide complements, but does not replace, the upstream OpenStack documentation. While upstream documentation provides comprehensive reference material, this guide focuses exclusively on practical usage in a MOSK environment. It avoids architectural discussions and service internals, focusing instead on what cloud users can do and how to do it.

The MOSK User Guide focuses on:

  • Consuming OpenStack services exposed by MOSK, without requiring knowledge of how those services are implemented

  • MOSK-specific behavior, integrations, and defaults that affect user-facing workflows

  • Common, real-world usage scenarios observed across Mirantis customer environments

  • Task-oriented operations, such as managing instances, authentication, networking, storage, automation, and migrations

The goal of this guide is to help cloud users quickly adopt and efficiently use the MOSK platform, enabling them to run applications and manage resources using familiar OpenStack tools.
