Migration prerequisites#

Before you begin the migration process, complete the following steps to ensure a smooth and secure transition:

  • Confirm that you have administrative access to both the source environments (MSR 2.x and MSR 3.x) and the target environment (MSR 4.x).
  • Verify that your system meets the installation prerequisites for MSR 4. See MSR Installation Prerequisites for full details.
  • Ensure that the target system has sufficient storage capacity to accommodate all migrated artifacts.

  • Perform a full backup of existing data to prevent any data loss:

  • MSR 2.x backup

  • MSR 3.x backup
