Upgrade MSR Using Docker Compose

Use procedures in this section to upgrade an MSR 4 deployment installed with Docker Compose on a single host.

Before you start, review Semantic versioning to confirm that your intended upgrade path is supported.

No high availability

Docker Compose deployments are single-host and do not provide high availability. If the MSR instance becomes unavailable during the upgrade, no orchestrator provides redundancy. Schedule the upgrade during a maintenance window.

Prerequisites

• You have SSH access to the host running MSR.
• Docker Engine and Docker Compose are installed on the host.
• You have the harbor.yml file and any associated configuration files generated at installation time.
