Simplified migration

Available since MMT 2.0.3

The migrate command introduced in MMT 2.0.3 streamlines the legacy multi-step migration by reducing verification, estimation, data extraction, transformation, and restoration into one or two steps.

Before you can perform the migration, it is necessary to:

• Meet all Migration prerequisites.

• Configure your source MSR system and your target MSR system.

• Select the storage mode.

Important

All MMT commands run on MSR 3.x.x systems, both source and target deployments, must include the --fullname option, which specifies the name of the MSR instance.

To obtain the name of your MSR instance:

• MSR Operator-managed deployments:

  kubectl get msrs.msr.mirantis.com
  

• Helm-managed deployments:

  helm ls
